Welcome to my portfolio! I'm Darius, a full-stack software developer with over five years of professional experience building scalable, high-performance applications. I currently work at Capital One, where I've led front-end development, driven accessibility improvements, and helped architect a modernized onboarding platform that's made a real difference for cardmembers.

My interest in technology started long before I wrote my first line of code. I built my first PC in 2014, then got hooked on Arduino and microcontrollers, writing embedded code to control LEDs, sensors, and motors. That hands-on curiosity never left. I later set up my own self-hosted Kubernetes cluster at home so I could understand the full stack: from the hardware running in my office to the web apps people use in their browsers.

These days I work primarily with React, Next.js, TypeScript, Java, and Spring Boot. I care a lot about getting the details right, accessible UIs, clean APIs, solid test coverage, and systems that are easy to maintain. Outside of my day job, I've taken on freelance projects for small businesses and real estate clients, helping them build better websites, improve their SEO, and get more visibility online.

I enjoy the problem-solving side of this work as much as the building side. Whether it's debugging a tricky integration, designing an architecture that scales, or figuring out why a page isn't rendering quite right. I find something satisfying in tracking down the root cause and fixing it properly.
