Building & Tinkering

I built my first PC back in 2014 and have been hooked ever since. Whether it's assembling a new machine, configuring a self-hosted Kubernetes cluster, or wiring up an Arduino project, I love getting into the details of how things work at a low level. There's something satisfying about seeing hardware and software come together into something that actually runs.

Software Projects

Outside of work I'm usually building something. I enjoy taking an idea from scratch all the way to a finished product — full-stack web apps, custom tools, or infrastructure setups. The whole process of designing, building, debugging, and deploying keeps me engaged and learning something new every time.

Experimenting with New Technologies

I like staying current. Whether it's a new framework, a cloud service I haven't used before, or a different approach to a familiar problem, I enjoy poking around and figuring out how things work. Not every experiment turns into a project, but it usually teaches me something useful.

Fishing

There's nothing quite like getting out on the water early in the morning. Fishing is one of those activities that forces you to slow down and be patient, which is a nice change of pace from staring at a screen. Catching something is a bonus.

Gardening

I started growing things a few years back and got surprisingly into it. There's a simple satisfaction to growing your own food or watching something bloom after weeks of tending to it. It's a good reason to get outside and take a break from the keyboard.

Gaming

Video games have been a big part of my life since I was a kid. I enjoy everything from strategy games to shooters, and lately I've been interested in game design itself — thinking through mechanics, balance, and what makes a game fun to play.
